Gluten Free Lifestyle
Is The Whole World Going Gluten Free – or Gluten-Reduced?
Sometimes, it seems as if it is. Suddenly, you see gluten free foods everywhere – in grocery stores, on restaurant menus, being discussed on talk shows.
Friends tell you they’re eating gluten free these days. Your kids tell you about their friends who are gluten free.
Then you read in the paper about gluten free beer and you think, “Really? There’s gluten in beer?”
Yes, there is. And also in ice cream, lip balm and a surprisingly long list of other foods and products.
It’s everywhere.
True, some people have to eat gluten free – they have no choice. If they want to avoid pain (and worse) there is no other option.
But researchers have recently found something truly surprising – almost everyone who eats gluten free does it out of choice, not necessity. Why is this?
Perhaps the new popularity of eating gluten free is explained by all the benefits of a gluten free lifestyle – less fatigue, more energy, a greater overall sense of wellbeing – those are just three.
Or maybe it’s the specifics of what this way of eating can do for you, not least of which is make it far easier to lose weight, and keep it off for good.
Perhaps it seems a step too far to give up your morning donut or lunchtime slice of pizza – but eating gluten free (and healthier!) doesn’t mean you have to!
So, what does it mean?
Our series of books about living happily gluten free includes the info you need in an easy-to-read style, written by a health reporter and author who herself lives gluten free, and has done for almost a decade.
